I'm thinking about going to Lowes and getting some bloomed tulips and just putting them in the soil - Will that work? If not, what can I purchase and plant in there that will make it look great? HELPPPPPPP!

You are on the right track, with the wrong plants. Try going for something that is perenial not annual so that the blooms last through your selling period. Right now in my area, houses are taking 180 days to sell. Tulips won't bloom that long. Try going for azalea bushes, sweet pea bushes or false heather. Gallons of any of these are in the back of the nursery and cost under $5. Plus, if you buy them at the Depot or Lowes, save the receipt. You get a one year warranty. If they die before you sell, take them back and get new ones.

Make sure the lawn looks nice and edge really well around the bed areas. Some tall grasses like pompas grass or shrubs. Don't make it look cheesy with a bunch of little flowers. A few here and there are nice unless you have a cottage style house(if so you have a lot of work to do). You would be amazed at the value of a nicely landscape home. Caladiums are colorful and don't require a lot of maintenance. Good luck selling!

perenniels would be best if you are keeping the house but you wont reep the benefits seeing that you are selling the house. Although if you do plant perenniels use that as a selling point stating that they will come back next year. Otherwise, plant pansies, annuals (depending on your location) Put a hanging plant to draw the attention to the front porch or to draw their attention in another area. The annuals will last the time period you will need to sell the house.

Tulips are beautiful but don't last very long. If you're looking for something quick and easy, that will last a long time (to see many prospective buyers) then your best bet is to get a flew flats of annuals like pansies, etc. They'll brighten up the area and last the summer, and hopefully until you sell your house.

Don't worry about planting anything. The new owners will want to do their own planting. Make the garden look as clean as possible. No old dead plants rotting away, no leaves left from last autumn, no weeds and nice clean lines. Maybe add some mulch between the beds. Just make it look clean and edged and cared for.

Hi!

Yeah!

Any plants that are in pots would be good.

However, DON'T take them out of the pots. Bury them just below the surface so that they look as though they have bloomed right there!

Hope this helps!!

Weed and feed the grass.

Hang a huge basket of bright, colorful annuals on the porch or get a big potted color bowl to set by the entry. Get something that will attract and catch the eye and say, "Welcome!" Just be sure to water!

If you have sidewalk, edge the grass for crisp, clean lines.

Put in a few pots of perennials. They will be pretty for a long time and then mulch the beds with the red mulch.

The look will be immediately improved.
