This drives me nuts... I will be feeling her kick like crazy and pull up my shirt to watch my belly jump...and she'll stop! She stops until I give up looking. Same if Im trying to show my mom, as soon as my mom looks away thats when she kicks really big.

She's already obstinate and she's not even out of my belly yet! :-p

Anyone else's little one torture you like this too?? :)

My baby does the same thing (I'm 28 weeks)...she'll kick me over and over but as soon as my husband wants to feel she'll stop!!

I have noticed that she tends to move around more if I'm not talking...I think she hears my voice and it relaxes her or she's paying attention...not sure...but she tends to move more when me and my husband are both quiet.

LOL That is sooo funny!!! I am 6 months pregnant with my first. The same thing happens to me. It was just the other day for the first time my boyfriend was able to feel him moving around. I kind of found out that if you just grab his hand and put it on your tummy and if you don't say anything, then maybe they other person can feel it. It was so annoying for me I would call him over and as soon as he was over here by me the baby would stop kicking. But as long as i know he has felt it once or twice I am satisfied. Cause it is a project to get them to coorperate. Well good luck with everything!!

When my little one was in my belly, he would kick around a lot. And I told my husband to just put your hand on my belly and wait to feel it. It didn't even take a minute and he kicked. That was a memory to remember.

That happened to me too. As soon as I'd tell someone my baby was kicking they would put their hand on my belly and the baby would stop! I felt like everyone thought I was lying. It's like they know somehow.

I read that near the end the babies can see some light. I used to put my hubby's BIG flashlight right on my belly against my skin. She would totally push on it, then I'd move it and she'd push at that spot. She was a BIG mover and is still constantly on the move at age 5!

Oh yes I have a little pistol I believe. My guy and I are the only two who have ever felt her kick. She will kick like crazy for me, but my boyfriend has to be sneaky to catch her. She lets me watch without any probs, but now at 36 weeks I get feet poking out and as soon as I touch them she retreats. I just figure she is teasing us, and with our personalities she is sure to be a joy, lol.

I have no Idea why they do that, but my little guy does the same thing. If i close my eyes he moves like crazy, but as soon as i open them again, he stops, and when my mom tries to feel him, he stops, he will only move for my husband, or when my kitty cat is around! totally crazy!!

same thing happens to me with my soon to be son

my wife is always telling me that she can see her belly move, or feel him kick, but the second i look or put my hand on her belly he stops doing it. Its like i'm the ultimate baby soothing device or somthing. i only hope that it works after the birth!

anyway, trust me you are not alone in this!!

My little one is the same way. She'll jump around all day for me, but the second her daddy tries to look or feel, she stops.

If she's this stubborn now, I can only imagine how she'll be when she's a teenager....

This is because she is cheeky!!! My kids did this as well.
It continues into infancy, toddler years etc. As soon as they reach a milestone or start doing something new and exciting you tell someone and as soon as they watch to see your baby clap or talk etc, baby steadfastly refuses to do it. Making you look like a fool. Happens all the time.
