Will he still want her? How will they be able to relate to each other when he's drinkin ensure and takin viagra and she's still up and vivacious? Some things to think of....

i call it the jack nicholson syndrome. this is why he was jumping up and down on oprah's couch. hell, giuliani has it too. many old timers want to be like hugh hefner and keep a young girl by their side. i personally believe in that musiq soulchild song that says: "i'll love you when your hair turns gray and i'll still love you if you gain a little weight". to be with someone from the beginning and to grow old with them is beautiful to me. many men want to leave the one that was there with them for what they think is greener pastures. sure a younger woman can do a few more things that the older one may not be able to but what are her real motives? more times than not, they are playing a waiting game for you to die and leave them wealthy. money is and has always been the root of all evil!

My understanding was that it was a career move. He needed to get married and have kids. It's well known that he asked other young actresses (Scarlett Johanson for one) to meet him for the sole purpose of hooking up. Extremely conceited, if not just strange. I think they will stay together for a little while and then get divorced as many famous people do, so growing old won't be an issue.

I definately think Tom Cruise is in a mid-life crisis. I used to like him, but know he is somewhat of a jerk. What's with jumping on Oprah's couch anyway!

Supposedly Tom Cruise is gay and is afraid that coming out will ruin his career. I don't know how credible this is (word of mouth, my friend's mom worked as a secretary for him and spoke wiht him many times)
Either way, he's gone whacko. Still love him

I didn't read all the answers below before posting this but... sometimes it's not all about sex. Maybe he has a strong emotional bond with her. I mean if you saw two 70 year olds getting married would you ask them if they still had sexual relations? I hope they are happy :)
