If you've ruled out everything else like her hands are sore, or she just wants your attention, yes, she's just being stubborn.

I love when they get to be little stinkers like that...its so funny.

My baby's about to be a year old in 2 weeks, and he just started drinking from and holding a sippy cup about a week ago. He just decided one day that he was going to start doing it and he hasn't stopped. Up until that point, I would just give him a bottle with juice in it and he would lie in the floor and drink it. I wouldn't worry or rush her. Babies are stubborn, and they do WHAT they want, WHEN they want.

She probably misses having mommy give her the bottle. Maybe try just holding her on your lap while she holds the sippy. Then you can gradually get her to hold it herself. Don't feel bad my daughter is 2 and still hates sippy cups.
