No one wants to hear a bad presentation, so just remeber they want you to succeed.

The old adage sometimes works - try to picture everyone in the class -- being naked, and you are fully clothed.
If that doesn't work. Try this.

1. Practice at home with your parents in attendance.
2. Practice at home in front of your friends.
3. Practice in front of a mirror.
4. It sounds dumb, but read your story to a tape recorder, and visualize that you are speaking to the whole school and they can't wait to hear the important things that you want to tell them.

Everyone has jitters when speaking in front of a crowd. I do and so do you. It's gets better every time you do it. Only the show offs do not get nervous in front of a crowd, but they do that only because inside they are just as nervous as the one who never says anything in class.

I hope I have helped you somewhat.

Don't look into their eyes. Instead, since they'll be a fair distance away, look at their eyebrows. To them, you'll be making eye contact because the distance will look as though you are. Periodically look at the far wall instead of at anyone in particular. The people in the front will think you are looking at the back and the people in the back will be too far away to tell the difference. Don't just stare down at your paper. That's a death sentence for public speakers.

Practice this on your family. Yeah, I know it sounds lame to do that, but it works.

I know exactly how you feel. when you're presenting it look at the back wall so as you dont have to look at any of your classmates. they always unintentionally make me laugh. if you're reading it have it in an easy to read way so as you don't lose your place if you look up or get confused. take deep breaths before you get up to speak and have something to grip onto if you start to panic or get really nervous while you're up there. even use a table corner or something. i find that if i catch it really hard it helps. also just try to imagine that you're telling your class a bit of gossip or something in a normal situation.
hope that helps a bit.
good luck!!!!

i was in debate class last year. we presented our own written pieces to the class. don't look at the students or your friends. you will most likely laugh. try looking at the back wall or something. good luck and be sure to practice in front of the mirror or in front of your friends and guardians. maybe they can give you advise.
