Using my dad's credit card number, I purchased something online for $1500. I am sixteen years old. How do I prevent him from finding out that $1500 is missing or at least where is went to.

you need to tell him, he is going to find out sooner or later, but it would be best if he heard it from you.....

Sorry to tell ya but you are out of luck on this one. How do you think he won't know about a charge to his credit card... he has to pay it back! There is no way to prevent him from knowing. At this point even if you returned the purchase, he will see the transaction and reversal. Honestly, using someone elses credit card w/o their permission is pretty crappy, especially for something so expensive. You obviously have no appreciation for hard work or even an understanding of how money doesn't come around easily.

your lucky your 16, if you were 18 you could be prosecuted for this. better come clean with dad so he doesn't have to pay all the interest he is acquiring every month on the 1500. and get it paid off. interest on 1500 could make that amount double in no time. tell him today

Wow, stealing from your own father, I'll bet he is going to be so proud of you.

Seriously, you cannot prevent him from finding out that you used his credit card to illegally purchase something online.

You are much better off to confess now, and throw yourself on his mercy and good graces, rather than drag it out or try and cover it up.

This is one of the worse types of theft and deceit. I hope that you think that a material item is worth ruining your Dads trust in you.

Fess up, and good luck. I hope that you have learned an important lesson from this deceitful mess.

you can run away, tell him you were kidnapped by aliens and they used his card to buy 1500 worth of intergalatic engine parts for their ship.. then stick things in your butt and tell him you were anal probed, and the doctor will find these parts up there, and you will be a hero and your dad will forget about the 1500 bucks
