I get so tired around 3 in the afternoon and can't seem to shake it. Anyone else have this problem? How far along are you?

I'm not pregnant anymore, but while I was, I was tired almost the whole pregnancy. Around the 5th month it got really bad. I would get up at 8 AM and get my fiance off to work, then go back to bed until 4 PM, go to work, work until 9 PM, then come home and go straight back to bed. It sucked at the time, but now that I don't get that much sleep, I really miss it.

You can make it farther than me!! LOL It gets to 1 o'clock or so and I'm dragging my face off my desk hoping the workday will be over. Luckily I can go home at 2 so as soon as I do I hop into bed and I'm out. You're encouraged to take naps during the day when your pregnant so I don't feel guilty :-) They say "instead of lunch errands you should now be thinking lunch naps" LOL Sometimes I can't sleep right after work and around 5 I do. Usually for an hour or an hour and a half. BTW, I'm 10 weeks.

Do I ever! I just got up from a 2 hour nap. I'm 9 weeks along. Thank goodness I work from home so I can nap when it gets impossible to focus. I can shake it if I get out and do something, but otherwise the sleepies usually get me.

This is totally normal, although it affects some people more than others. If your blood sugar is more prone to fluctuate (overweight, diabetes, etc.), it'll affect you even more.

Best thing to do is to get as much sleep as you can, exercise in the morning, and spread your meals out evenly (three small meals with additional mid-morning & mid-afternoon low-fat snacks is good). Also, if you're at a desk job like me, get up and move around if you can.

Most of us are sleep-deprived and lethargic. You've got to go after the solution pro-actively - good luck.

Me me me! :)

I get REALLY sleepy around 4pm. I know its too late for a nap so I will lay on couch and feel like I'm going to fall asleep then after 30 mins to 45 mins I pop up and am not as tired. I am 28 weeks.

Definitely. I can't go out in the afternoons at all all I can do is lie down and play with my toddler. I've still got 13 weeks of this left to go

No I've done the baby thing but can sympathise,
I had 3 babies in 2 and a half years,
Sleep whenever you can,
And rest as much as possible,
Don't be too worried,
My baby is 20 months and still has a daytime nap
I still feel tired in the afternoon
Sometimes I sleep when she does
