wow is anyone out there checking out the prices on ebay for issue 25? holy! i got mine at cover price!! i got the variant! u cannot find it anywhere!

agreed on the popularity...my comics people left me the variant..i went to a local grocecry store and no cap issues.

Yeah, lots of local groceries or mom & pop convenience stores don’t carry any selection any more. You have to go to a specialty shop or order them through a newsstand, oslt. Congrats on lucking out. Hold on to it for your grandkids, so they can see what a REAL American hero was like!

I haven't been checking out eBay. My local comic shop knows me as a regular (sad I know) so they set aside the both the variant and regular edition for me. I am hoping this get's some people back into comics or at least interested in them since CNN did a story on it. (Though they fudged some of the facts up.) If it is one of those milestone issues, great, but you never know anymore. Who would have thought the Ultimate line of Marvel comics would have been such a hit back in 2000?

in a year or so, no one will care. Marvel will bring him back. the fact all the tongues are wagging will do wonders to boost sagging circulation.

remember when Superman "died"? folks were paying thru the nose to get that issue. Now, you can't give the thing away.
