I don't think it's fair. It's why he increased his powers enormously during wartime. Any excuse to stray away from the Constitution's purpose and become closer to a dictator.

What can't you do because of him?
What has he stopped you from doing?

The rates you have reported have been probally taken out of context and yet another element, dont you think of it somewhat is a tremendously not undemanding job being the president of the united statesA. and you will possibly have moments once you're saying something you dont necesarily advise? decrease the guy some slack, Clinton's presidency replaced right into a cake walk whilst in comparison with what Bush has been by using.

There is only one source for this quote - Capitol Hill Blue. But mysteriously, that article is no longer on the site. It has been repeated as dogma in the leftist blogosphere, but if you read the story, its implausibility grows with each word.

So you have this ranting leftist blogger allegedly told by unnamed Republican Congressional leaders that Bush said this.

How high does that register on your BS meter? It causes mine to peg out beyond maximum.

It's amazing how much faith and kool-aid it takes to maintain these liberal dogmas and shibboleths.

Are you quoting him or is that how you perceive him acting toward the Constitution? If you are quoting, how do you validate it? Do you have a source?

Life isn't fair. But since he's the Commander in Chief he makes a great target to blame all the things we see going wrong in our country.

Dictator? I think not! Ask those people who have risked their lives to escape dictatorship and come to this country for freedom. They may not agree with you.

This is why our country is so wonderful. You are free to voice your opinion, right or wrong, without fear of retribution.

Have a great day!

Although I don't feel that we've lost any of our constitutional rights, and although I am a pretty hardcore conservative, I remember when he said that and I put my hand in my face and went DOH! like homer simpson. Even as a republican sometimes Bush just says stupid things, the fact he said that appauled me I still support him mor ethan anyone elses ideas but I mean that was a sad day for him.

Never heard this one, but even so, I don't think "fairness" has anything to do with it. If our president (whoever s/he may be) ever had that attitude toward the Constitution, I'd say we were in a very, very frightening position.

Ah, the famous "quote" from an unknown, unsubstantiated, unverified source.

Did you know Bill Clinton was an alien? I saw that once on the front page of Weekly World News.

Liberal democrats hell-bent on Communism will stop at nothing to get what you want - even if it means waging your silly and destructive war on America and the war on the War on Terror . What is it you can't do now ? Bomb people & buildings or plot the demise of America ? What ? What is your point ? Do tell .

What is not fair is to falsley accuse people of saying or doing things that they didn't. Without proof, I can only assume that you are bearing false witness.

I heard that he said this. This is the most arrogant a person can be. He actually thinks he can use his own judgement in place of the constitution. He and Castro would be great friends.

I've heard this, but only on YA. Do you have a *credible* source?

And what freedoms have you, personally, lost?
