It could depend on the type of felony too. Some places are willing to give someone a chance if it were a drug charge say. Try some of your community organizations or citywide organizations to see if they have a program setup for felons. Chicago has such programs.

These are an example of the faith based programs President Bush tried to get people to jump on board with. Most people are dolts and didn't have a clue as to what he was talking about. Sorry for the political comment. Good luck to you.

You can work just about anywhere. Jobs that require security clearances might be a problem.

Your biggest problem is just plain old "trust". I'd be careful not to hide or sugarcoat the conviction. Even the simplest credit check will show a felony conviction.

Be willing to start below your education or training level to start.

Boy, this sucks. I would try "bottom" jobs that usually don't require security checks...like dishwasher, busboy, field hand, etc. After a few years, with no marks against you, you can try for "regular" jobs.....no offense, if you are really you, it takes time to pay for past sh....t/!
