Stop period?

Question

Ok, i know this might seem a really silly question, and an obvious one, but is there anyway possible to reduce the length of your period? Like if you are on your 7day break from your contraceptive pill, and you start your period...if u start your next pack of pills mid way through your period, will it stop it? or is this dangerous to start your pill earlier than you are meant to.

its not that i mean can i carry on taking my pill without stopping so that i dont have a period, i know this is possible. but i was planning to do that and realised i had ran out of pills, so my period is due to start tomorrow, and i kinda need it to be finished my Sunday night!! i know this prob isnt possible or everyone would be doing it

I took birth control pills (orthocyclin) which is a one dose pill. My doctor told me I could take it continuously, and not even stop if I didn't want to. I took it for four weeks on, then stopped for one week. If you have a one dose pill, you could probably do that too, but I would call an advice nurse or chat with your doctor on the phone, just to check.

You can get a new pack and start it now. It won't hurt you, just take it for the next few weeks or finish your whole pack. It won't matter. You should be able to start your pack now with little problems. If your period does start, it will end in a few days after starting your new pack, so get it now and start taking them again. It isn't dangerous to do this, and won't cause any problems to your cycle later on.

my mom used to tell me don't wash my hair when i am on my period, cuz it will shorten your period. it is good to have the blood comes out cuz it cause you to not have pimples and acne. she would say. i never believe her. now i notice that when i wash my hair when i am on IT my period does stop earlier than usual.
