If you look closely at the ingredients of the different brands, you'll see that each brand has EXACTLY the same ingredients, the only difference is the amount of each. And actually, I think these small differences greatly affected my son. With Enfamil, his stool looked yellow and seedy (just the way it did when I was breastfeeding), and with Similac, his stool was dark.
Anyway, I stuck with Similac Advanced with Iron because the Enfamil also gave him gas.

I used Enfamil and Carnation Good Start and Follow up. I would definitely go with the Carnation. There was less stomach irritation, less spitting up and (this is a selfish reason) but it smelled much better than Enfamil! Talk to your pediatrician and I am sure they can point you in the right direction. You have to be careful what you choose if you have a child that is allergic to milk or to soy or a child that will require more iron. Good luck!

Similac for my son and nutramigen for my daughter. I wont know until this baby comes which it can use. I think im going to try the parents choice, or member mark ( sams club) If the baby can take regular formula. Its label compares and is way cheaper. My luck though it will need nutramigen

If in UK then i used any 'gold' or 'premium' formula..The cheaper ones are attractive only on price, why skimp for a few quid more you might as well give your precious bundle that better start in life. Breast in best but next best thing is a gold formula.
Avoid cows milk until 12 months old too.
to answer the questions i used Heinz gold, heinz been around for years and i grew up on beans!

After I stopped breastfeeding my girls I have used several different brands of formula.....the one I liked the best was Carnation Good Start...it was easier for them to digest and it was cheaper than Similac or Enfamil.

My kids were very easy and I was able to switch formulas at the drop of a hat. When I coudn't afford the expensive stuff (good start) I would buy the no-name stuff. Both my kids are healthier than could be and happy as ever.

My daugher is just on a store brand formula (superstore in Canada). My doctor says store brands are fine, but I guess it's whatever works for you baby.
