All of the guys like those preppy girls. And a majority of them are mean, snobby, fake, and ugly. So why is it that I don't qualify as someone a guy could possibly like? Is it my problem or is it their's?

Maybe you should be saying that all the guys that you are interested in like the preppy girls.
There are probably some guys that you don't pay attention to that would be better than the guys that only see the preppies.

If you are attractive, you may not realize that many guys may think that they are not "good enough" for you or that you can find someone "better than them".

In any case, try to be the oppsite of what you don't like about the preppy girls. You say they are mean, snobby, fake and ugly, so try to be nice, outgoing, real and pretty. Aafter all, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, And you really don't want to flatter someone you don like.

It's society's problem...not yours.

Mean, snobby and fake is what America has come to.

Just so you know, they may date a lot because they are shallow and superficial.

Now when you find someone, it will be real and lasting because you are not hiding yourself in vanity.

Hard to say from the amount of information you provide. Could be that you are attracted to guys who consider themselves part of the "popular" crowd and therefore want to date girls in the same clique; could be that the guys you're hanging out with are ignoring what's in front of them; could be that you are mistaking their motivations; could even be that you are doing something off-putting.

Your best bet, though, is to take matters into your own hands. Instead of waiting for someone to take an interest in you, if there's someone you're attracted to, approach them. Trust me, guys love the direct approach from women, if only because it removes the burden of having to risk rejection themselves.
