Former ECW/WCW wrestler Mike Awesome has passed away. Wow a few weeks ago WWE showed that he died. I was suprised because the guy was so young. But yet, when your times up it is up, and it was God's decision for him to go.
Awesome though was great, I remember his Awesome Bomb's through tables, his hardcore style. His mullet was crazy!
Yet Awesome in WCW was a funny guy, playing the role as "That 70's Guy".
But wow, am I the only one that remembers Mike Awesome?

No you're not I loved his character. Him and Tanaka would just put each other through tables and hit each other with chairs but each time they wrestled (except One Night Stand) they found some new, more innovative way to do it. It was so entertaining especially his feud with Tanaka but still Spike Dudley, Tazz, Tommy Dreamer and other come to mind when you think of Awesome's greatest moments (which he didn't have too much of as the 70s Guy he hated being humiliated by playing that part, he like many people feel the worst thing they did in their career was work for WCW) Awesome was incredible and it's sad that he passed. You're forgetting though about his greatest time in his career when he wrestled for FMW in Japan he had great feuds with Onita, Tanaka, Niiyama and others he was known as Gladiator.

No you're not the only one. His work in Japan was by far his best. I also enjoyed his matches w/ Tanaka in ECW. His stint in WCW was terrible-that was a bad time for any good young wrestler to be in WCW. If you weren't friends with Hogan or Nash you could forget about doing anything major.

I remember Mike He was a great wrestler for WCW and ECW. Sadly he was found hanged to death in his home which is being called a suicide right now. Last I heard Mike was working out for a possible return to the ring. Please pray for Mike's family as this must be a very tough time for them.

Yea i remember him. He had one heck of a match with masato tanaka at ECW One Night Stand '05. On of the best matches i've ever seen. RIP Mike Awesome

Yeah I remember Mike Awesome. Always thought he could pass for Roddy Pipper's son. Wrestlers die young all the time, wonder why? (Roids)

yeah he died on feb the 17th. they say he committed suicide
