I would continue to use a backup method at least a week after you quit taking antibiotics - same as you would if you miss a pill. Better to be on the safe side.

You should use the back up process until you stop taking the antibiotics. Even when you stop taking them still use the back up process for another two weeks just to be on the safe side. Sperm are very funny, and they tend to stick around longer when they really want to so you don't want to take any chances. I got pregnant because I took antibiotics while on birth control. At the time I knew nothing about it altering the effects. Don't make the same mistake if your not ready for a baby right now. Just wait until you finish the medicine, and then wait another two weeks to be sure.

Use a back up method until you start your new month of pills. If you are taking them during your placebo week, it would probably be safest to use an alternative method through the next month as well.
