National chain stores sometimes close a store due to low sales or labor problem in the area. If a store doesn't turn a profit in a given time, the owners will close it down.

The original Wendy's in Westerly, RI was closed down many years ago. But a few years back they reopened on the same strip but about a 1/4 mile down. They have a hard time maintaining workers than anything. I will not speculate why because I have never worked in a fast food joint.

They closed Dave Thomas' original Wendys in downtown Columbus, Ohio due to low sales at that location. Its the first one I ever ate at, so its weird to see it close.

It closed? I didn't realized it closed, but then I remembered one closed because of the loss of money possibly or because the lack of customers.
