As a lesbian I've never figured it out nor will I ever. All I've come up with Is they believe everything the bible has to say which Is somewhat wrong. Don't get me wrong I'm a christian along with some others. Anyways the bible when It was first written in Hebrew the word homosexual wasn't thought of nor heard of back then. Another thing when the bible was translated Into English the word was added.

Like I'm saying they believe In something that really isn't their. Another thing If being gay/lesbian is really a sin why Is It god says every sin Is forgiven except for blasphemy.

I totally agree. It's like kids in my generation are so self absorbed and have so many of their own problems they take it out on others. I'm in highschool and I find it appauling that 7th graders are calling eachother b*tches and slu*s. Why do kids think it's acceptable to use the word gay in a sense meaning 'stupid'. I always hear kids in the hallways saying 'this is gay. that is gay'. They dont even know what they're saying. Just because people arent used to the gay idea gives them a reason to hate gays. I think that people should be able to be whoever they want to be. I mean you only live once! Live you're life the way you want, to the fullest.

People can't get past old myths and misconceptions, I think. I've never met someone who was ready to change their beliefs very quickly. And a lot of people don't really think about making the world a better place--they just want to make their little world nice and happy. It's sad, and I hope it will change sooner or later (hopefully sooner). But prejudice is an old, old human pattern.

Christians don't hate gays. We love them enough to care about their lives, their happiness and their souls. We are all born with a sinful nature. Yes, that means me too.

God tells us that the only way to remove our sins, is through the blood of Jesus.

Jesus came here to live and then die because of our sins and to take our place for them, for our forgiveness. Acceptance of Him as our Lord and Savior and repentance, which means to turn away from sins, is the only way to be in a happier place here on this earth and finally in Heaven.

All of the sins that we commit cause us pain suffering and finally eternal death. Jesus, is eternal life.

thats not the point. straight people want to remain the majority. giving gay relationships the right to be married, recognizes them as a family unit..legally...and reserves further rights for children...and so on people against gays are scared of what they dont know

i think as society we fear the unknown and we find it hard to accept when something isnt perfect and when certain people break out of the stereotypical life we are opressed to live, we arent quite sure how to adapt to that as we have always been thought it was wrong its not actually against they gays its our own insecurities that we are actually worried about!!!
