Why do people hate pokemon so much?

I think it reminds them of something they bought into when they were younger, and now they don't want to be associated with it in any way so they bash it.

I mean you guys know what im talking about. Say you liked barney when you were 4. Im sure by the time you were 10 you were calling barney gay and playing pokemon. Then your 20, and you say pokemon is gay and sex is cool. Then your 50, and your married so no more sex, but hey, at least the food is good?

Kinda got off subject there....I guess what im saying is-

The person is gay, not barney, pokemon, or sex. ( barney is kinda gay though)
