Microsoft has attacked Google, saying that its new book-scanning service "systematically violates copyright".

Has Google gone too far?

Google has been a force for good on the Internet whereas Microsoft has introduced insecurity and shows excess greed on it's price (compare US$ and UK Pound pricing). If Google hadn't been around we'd probably be paying Microsoft for each Internet search.

Micro$oft's comments on publication searches are pure sour grapes.

my compliments.

This has been up for legal debate for months. Microsoft is always attacking someone. Whether anything comes of it..who knows.

And no, google has not gone too far. There are tons of sites that offer ebooks, scanned books, etc. They just don't advertise the fact. Google just isn't hiding in the background. :-)

Good for Google, I don't see anything coming of this. Google is the best search engine and I'm sure Microsoft just wants in.

If they can back it up legally, sure let them do it. They may have to pay some copyright fees though

Google has been going too far! They have krappy natural search results so that you will want to click on the paid ads. They ARE a RUSSIAN money grubbing machine.

could desire to the poet's call be e.e.cummings? i be responsive to that he did 'extraordinary stuff' together with his poetry, so attempt that call (no capitals, he spelled it with all small letters) on the seek line, and notice if that doesn't get you to the poet you're finding for.
