I assume you're playing the dvd on your computer. What software is being used?
What do you mean by "everything else is loud"? Does that mean audio CDs?

right click on the little speaker at the bottom of the screen go into the controls and see if you can bring up the volume on the dvd/cd audio balance control do it while the movie is playing wiggle all the controls till you find the right one.

I will assume you are using Windows XP... Open the master volume... If you have a speaker icon in the bottom right corner, double click it. If not, click - start-->settings-->control panel. Find "sounds and audio". open it and check the box that says 'place volume icon in the taskbar'. Now double click the icon in the taskbar.... play a movie and adjust the volumes in the master volume box to find which one is controlling the movie sound.

you have to turn your TV up, the DVD only goes up so far. I think it's stupid also but you have to control the volume by your TV set. I have to turn my TV up to 26.
