Having trouble with level on Gears of war.?

Question

I cant get past the level on Gears of War where you have to kill Raam and detonate the light bomb. Any tips on how to kill Raam

O that part was hard, are you on hardcore difficulty, if your having that much difficulty im guessing you are. Lets see the basics, stay out of the dark spots or the crill will get you obviouslInside the ammo train stock up on the ammo before touching the doors, make sure you take the Torque Bow. There is a glitch where you can re-enter the ammo room
during the battle with RAAM. All you have to do is open one of the two doors and then run over to the other door really quick and open it before the cutscene starts to play. You will hear the door open as the screen turns black which will leave that second door open during the battle.

Shoot RAAM with the Torque Bow to get the Kryll off him and then equip the Sniper Rifle to give him a good headshot. Each difficulty adds six extra headshots needed to kill him so roughly: 6 on Casual, 12 on Hardcore, and 18 on
Insane. You may need to run to the opposite end of the train and work your way back and forth to keep him away from you. Try to stay in the lighted areas at all times to keep the Kryll off of you when he sends them out as well. Don't
forget to use your Grenades if you need to, it might just be the last shot you need to get on him to bring him down. Once he is defeated watch the last cutscene as you have completed the game.

There isn't much to say except for HIS CHEST IS HIS WEAK POINT! An alien general with state of the art armor with a fleshy head... that is stronger than his armor! Don't bother grabbing the sniper it isn't of much use it can't help you. Now in co op that's a much much different story yuo should do the glitch that someone mentioned here earlier and grab torque when needed the kryll will then leave him after shot with that. If you are playing co op get yourself and your teammate to shoot at him continously with the lancer (machine gun) until the kryll return. Rinse lather and repeat. After torquing and smging him enough he should go down. If he doesn't go down, I recomend you run to the other side and make sure to stay away from the dark.

I've heard rumors that there is a troika around on the train somewhere I haven't really looked for it though( and that it is very weak against him anyway) so remember chest= weak point and torquing and lancering= best bet. If your playing online co-op its easy but if not its a little hard specialy on insane difficulty so heres my tip's don't worry about Dom cause that idiot is only good for getting himself killed just make sure he dosent die in a dark spot cause of the kryll, so when Raam sends his kryll at you shoot him with a couple of tork bow shots ( try to get him in the head ) and also when he gets close to you just give him some blind fire shots with the lancer but if he goes around your cover just jump over to the cover spot way at the end of the train and repeat the same tactic or try getting some head shots with the magnum. Well that worked for me hope it does for you.

shoot him with the torque bow first, then the krill around him will spread, its at this time you can hurt him....the krill will only stay away from raam for a few seconds after each shot so make the shots count...the best way is invite a friend into your game over xbox live to help you........go to xbox.com into the forums under games, then gears of war...you'll find many post about tricks and tips.

I have been trying for months to beat this game, yes months, I guess I suck but I've tried endless combinations to try to beat RAAM. The only way I manage to do it (today) is the following. Fully stock yourself on machine gun bullets, and Torque bow arrows. Stay in the light behind stuff and as quickly as possible shoot a torque arrow anywhere on his body as long as it sticks, explodes on him and spreads the kryll. As quick as your fingers can do it switch back to the Machine gun and unload on him. If you want this to go as quick as possible you need to pay attention to your bullets and perfect reload as much as possible because the added damage makes this fight shorter. I just kept switching back and forth between bow and machine gun. You will have to move around and stay in the light it is hard but don't bother with the long shoot sniper, it takes way to much time and skill. Just keep perfect reloading and lay as much as you can into him. Throw some grenades if you have to keep him away from you.

First get torque bow use it to disrupt his impenetrable shield of kryll if u have lancer/machine gun unload until hes dead you will need to do this a couple of times or

you could get the tourq bow and shot gun use torqe bow to ward of kryll then blast whith shotgun shells at close range shotgun is harder but it takes less time but it takes longer whith the lancer and if u run out of ammo cus of miss shots or u hit kryll your dead also if you run out of torque bow arrows be sure to pick up grenades to make kryll run for ahwhile

u should have a tork bow and sniper/lancer. use the tork bow 2 get rid of the kryll and then shot like crazy if u have a lancer of snipe his head if u have a sniper. if he get to close then blindfire gernades at him. if he goes around and shoots u hop over ur block and run down the middle so the kryll dont get u and hide behind a block away from him. do last steps and u should get it

Get the torque bow
stay in cover when the birds come to u
use the bow to blow away the birds
then switch to the machine gun (or longshot)
and shoot till the birds get back on him
Then repeat process
*also if he gets too close move out of cover past him and continue

Grab the torque bow and the sniper. Snipe ramm when hes got bats with him when they go use the torque bow on his head keep him back for longer. on insane i killed him without him getting to the first side (accept that was online on campaign.)
