The burning was mainly when it wasn't coming down just spotting now that it's a tad heavier though the discomfort isn't there nearly as much but it still is a little you know? could anyone tell me if this is normal or if I might have something wrng?

Where is the pain located? If it's the vaginal canal, it can be normal as the tissue in the canal begins to swell just before and during the onset of menses. During the menses, the swelling goes down. Most women don't feel this but some will and it can be very uncomfortable. If this is something new, you want to tell your GYN about it definitely. If you're talking about buring while urinating, it's not uncommon to get a UTI and/or bladder infection around the time of menses as well.

I've never had that happen in my experience. The one thing it makes me think of is a bacterial infection because the bacteria thrive when the menstural fluid is going through there. I've had bacterial vaginosis before and it can burn a little bit if it gets out of hand. I'd go to a doctor and maybe get a culture done. If it is a bacterial infeciton, it isn't a big deal, just take some antibiotics and maybe a diflucan so you don't get a yeast infection! Good luck!

Sounds like you may have cramps and just not know what they are. If you are worried, talk to your doctor about it. They can help with period problems.

A lot of women get Yeast Infections with their period. You could have one, or it could just be your bodies reaction to your period. I would talk with you doctor just to be safe.
Good luck.
