What Im asking is how can a person who has made so many moral errors in thier life become a better person. Is it even possible? Should you believe in them or is it just a waste of time?

I do think people can change and be better people, but only if they want to change. Don't waste your time hoping that they will eventually change, unless they are really working on it and taking the steps necessary to correct bad behaviors. You should never put your mental health in jeopardy for someone else's. It may sound selfish, but you are no good to anyone else if you, yourself, are not of sound mind. Good luck.

Judge them by thier actions not thier words. Yes it is possible for a person to change and sometimes drastically. The proof of it is in how they live their life after- is it better? Are they happier? More content? are they not doing bad things to themselves and living a good honest decent life? Time will tell you. If this is a person you have a relationship with then give it time to see if it is real.

Theoretically, sure. in spite of if it takes a great style of self-coaching and inner motivation to realize that. as an occasion, i'm a quiet individual and with the intention to grow to be a social guy, I practice an exercising i got here across on a internet site - speaking to strangers. I even have merely began it, yet i think of it has helped me substitute. i think of your case would be complication-free - merely carry back once you experience such as you will say something. properly, as i'm no longer a talkative individual, i don't be attentive to how perplexing it is going to be. desirable of success, chum!

Most of us learn to enhance our equilibrium according to need. We just improve in one way or another what we have always done.
A change of the sort you speak of might take a whole established equilibrium and social context leave of absence something like what a lot of young people are looking for when they join the military service. And with most it works very well.

It's not that people change completely, but they improve. That's my view on it.Your personality, you can improve it.You can try to change every negative aspect that you see it's coming out.Nobody can absolutely change, but they can think for the better and improve their persona.Sadly, not everyone is humble enough to recognize their flaws and try to correct them. Most people, don't care about their negative sides. They just are without limits. They can change for the better, but they can't change who they are because that's just the way they were made.

Everyone is able to change the question is do they want to? Maybe you believing in them might be the one thing they need to allow themselves to make those changes. My fiance' made many many moral errors in his life and I was the one person that allowed him to be who he truly wanted to be. After 12 years together, one beautiful little girl and many many many sleepless nights and bad choices on his part he came to realize that he COULD change because myself and our daughter believed in him. Our love helped him change the person he became to be the person he used to be and the person he wants to be!!

As long as they are willing to learn from their mistakes they can change. It is called growing up, many people just choose to make bad choices all the time and never learn from them. Those are the people that are always whining that life is unfair.

I personally believe they can become a better person... they cannot become a different person because all their life's experiences (good and bad) make them who they are. they can over come the bad and learn to be better though!

It's doubtful that anyone can change completely. It is possible to improve and behave more rationally and effectively. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy has good evidence behind it. Try this:
