It is rare for a woman to fall pregnant whilst using the contraceptive pill but it isnt uncommon for it to happen it is usually because a number of pills have been missed or forgotten though.Anytime your period is late is worth taking a test and at 2 days late a home pregnancy test will be 99.9% accurate.Use first morning urine as this contains the most amount of hcg this is the hormone your body will produce if you have become pregnant and if the test detects thisit will become positive, its also worth spending that little extra for a good quality test such as clear blue, first response these are most accurate and if your not you can usually count on the answer. There are many other reasons your period may be late and being that your still very young it is very common to have irregular periods untill a certain age but if you are sexually active its worth testing.Good luck to you and if you need any further help do not hesitate to contact.

I dont know, You can be a fewdays late, even if you are on birth controle. Im on the pill and im late sometimes, everyone is.
You can be stressed or something and that could be the reason your a bit late, have you been on any medication lately? As that can also affect your period. But dont worry about it just yet hunni. Wait until you are atleast 5-6 days late and then start worrying.
I hope it all turnes out ok! x

You're 15, you shouldn't even have a reason to have to take birth control. But if it's only 2 days I wouldn't worry about it...but if it's like a week or so then I would.

have you been using your birth control like you should? To be on the safe side, get a home pregnancy test or go to a planned parenthood center so they can give you one ... and think seriously about NOT having sex for a while in the future! At 15, you're kinda young to be saddled with the responsibility of a child, regardless of how mature you may be. Enjoy your youth while you can ... there's plenty of time down the road to be an adult

First off, sorry about all the people trying to tell you what to do. Second, I doubt you're pregnant. Stress can make you late, last month I was a whole week late.

Go back in your head and try to remember when you had sex. Girls usually get pregnant 14 days after their period last starts.

If you still are late in a few days, just go to a drug store and buy a test. If it turns out you are, please tell someone close to you who can help.

Possibility #1 (what you want to hear) Birth control can cause your period to be abnormal, which is normal....
Possibility #2 (what you don't want to hear) it could be that you are pregnant.
Answer: buy a pregnancy test, it is never fun, and always hard to do when society (as well as answers) is so quick to lecture.

Enough of the "you should not be having sex'! It is absolutely pointless to scold when what is done is done!
Pregnancy should never be a consequence, and there are options, good luck, just remember that you are not the first one to go through this.

Possibly.
When I was 15 the only people I knew who were taking the pill were put on it because they had terribly heavy painful periods, and they certainly weren't having sex, because it is low class to have underage sex. 2 days is too little to start worrying about it being late as they tend not to be that regular, but bear in mind that:
a. the pill needs to not be accidentally forgotten for a day in order to be effective
b. occasionally women do get pregnant while taking the pill even if they remember to take it
c. you are too young not just because of the law but because you are not fully grown - your pelvis hasn't grown fully until you are about 21 - and therefore pregnancy is far more dangerous
d. anyone impregnating 15 year old is unlikely to be a decent father
e. you will have a reputation as a stupid ignorant careless s!ut if you do become pregnant at 15

If I thought you'd stop having sex I'd keep my fingers crossed for you.

If you are taking your birth control properly then you shouldn't be pregnant. If you're worried, take a test. Unprotected sex is unadvisable at any age (unless you're trying to conceive; which should only be happening if you're in a stable situation and you're ready to become a parent), especially at a young age. Did you know that research suggests girls who start having unprotected sex at a young age have a higher risk of cervical cancer? Take care, play it safe.

Personally myself I think 15 is WWAYY too young to be having sex. Here's a hint, if you're worried you might be pregnant . . . you probably shouldn't be having sex. This is something that can happen even when your on the pill. You've got a lot of time to be sleeping with people when you're older, the people you sleep with now won't matter a bit to you in 10 years. You can also really damage your body if you have sex too young. Babies come even when you don't want them . . . my little sister is 15 and I would be so sad for her if she got prego. Thing about it hunny, you'll be all grown up before you know it, enjoy what life has to offer, the next 20some years of your life being dedicated to raising a baby isn't worth 15 minutes of a good time with a boy you think you love.
