If the chicken is breaded and the dressing is not low or non fat, then yes they are fattening. Some of them can be worse than a burger. Check the nutritional guide.

Actually, ceasar salad IS a healthy choice, because you are combining veg, meat, cheese, and GOOD fat. As long as the chicken is grilled, and you don't put excessive amounts of dressing, (1-2 TBSP max) ceasar salad is absolutely a better choice than a burger....especially if you leave out croutons. I am on the south beach diet and chicken ceasar salad is one of the most frequent things I eat. I use Helmann's ceasar dressing. Since the end of January I have lost over 10 pounds.

Ceaser and Cobb salads are loaded in fat. Not from the veggies but from teh dressings. I know those prepackeged Ceasar salads in the grocery store contain an upwards of 35 grams of fat per serving. Eat a salad but but a vinegar based dressing like oil and vinegar, or balsamic vinegar. You need the fat in the dressnig to help your body get the nutrients from the green, but you do not need an excessive amount. Sometimes even fat free and lite dressings are not great because they contain a lot of sodium. Hope this helps.

Better than a burger, but not exactly healthy.

Try to get salads with a vinagrette dressing and don't eat salads with bacon on them. :)

They are better if you order the cobb without bacon and order either with fat free dressings.

cesar salads are not fattening as long as you make sure the dressing is sugar free (most are) and skip the croutons.
