The doctor sent me for a NST and an ultrasound because the baby stopped growing. He also said that he saw on the ultrasound that my placenta is aging prematurely. He is going to see how well the baby is doing next week at my appt. but my concern is that I will have to deliver early. Is this true or can I carry the baby to term? Please help! Thank You.

37 weeks is practically full-term, so no problem there. As long as you feel the baby moving each day, don't panic, don't stress ... just take it easy and wait for the test results. Congrats on your new one and best of luck!

Most doctors consider 37/38 weeks full term so if you have to deliver anytime soon your baby should be just fine!

37 weeks is not early, if he was good doctor he would have sent you straight to the hospital and induced you the moment he realized that the baby was no longer growing and the placenta was decaying.

My infant grew to become into in the third percentile, she grew to become into tiny yet wholesome in the process my being pregnant and he or she grew to become into born at 38 weeks at 5 lbs 7 oz.. She is now 8 months and turning out to be in many circumstances (nevertheless third percentile for length and twenty 5th percentile for weight). Your infant would be born over 6 lbs and its wonderful. My sister in basic terms had a splash boy 2 days in the past at 36w4d and her infant is 5lbs13oz, he's wholesome and going domicile on the instant. i does not difficulty approximately it and don't evaluate, toddlers are available in diverse length and that all of them strengthen in a diverse way. My different sister had a 9lbs infant and now at 3 yrs previous he's in the third percentile. the size is genetic and that they're going to catch up if its of their genes.

37 weeks is considered full term by most. so as long as the baby didn't stop growing a long time ago, everything should be ok.

Exact dating onset of gestation is never 'exact' ...
it is quite likely you are at term ...
If the doctor thought there was cause for alarm, you would know!
You could go into labor on your own before the next appt.!
