I have a 5 week old little boy and just recently he has been sleeping alot during the day in the morning he will be awake then after a a couple hours go to sleep then wake up to eat then sleep and rinse and repeat. Is this normal? Should I wake him up? Just curious. :)

Don't wake him. Just let sleeping "babies" lie. All babies that young sleep that much! Enjoy having some free time while you still can! ;o) Catch up on your sleep....

Newborns have a lot of growing to do so they sleep at least 18 hours a day. Just make sure to wake him up after a few hours at least just to feed him. It's perfectly normal! There will come a time you'll feel like they never sleep! Enjoy it while it lasts!!!

no new babies need a lot of rest thats all that babies will do at first is sleep and eat. Youll see over time he will become more mobile but for now he is still going to be really tired all the time.

young babies need a lot of sleep this gives the body time to grow properly..if he is healthy in general..don't worry..you could take him to the doctors just for a check up ..but I think he is probably fine,,

do not EVER wake a sleeping baby unless it is absolutely necessary!

Only feed him on his demand. I never woke my baby up, I just fed her on her demand and that is what the doctor told me to do. Babies don't need to be woken unless they are not gaining weight.
