Hi,

I need a DVD or a HDD recorder with Freeview. Ideally, it has dual tuners and divx support, but these are not essential.
What I need is something that is quick, intuitive, not too noisy and under £160. Any suggestions?
If it is a HDD recorder - how does one transfer video from it to a DVD/PC?
Thanks!

hi,

you can get some great dvdr with freeview for under £160, panasonic, sony, samsung etc......

But if you want a hdd as well you are looking in the region of £220-260 ( shop price ) best one are the panasonic ( 160gb or 250gb )

To answer last question hdd to disc, disc to pc ( ensure that both machines have the same format available

Hope this helps wg

connect your LG's DTV out to the ext2 of the recorder. swap the programme source on your recorder to SCART instead of antennae. you will be able to locate paying for a low priced Freeview container (now under £20 from Asda or Tesco) the least difficulty, and you will record a distinctive channel from what you're watching.
