Even though he had been told months before the intelegence was false. And his Speech writer told him the day of the speech it was not true Bush chose to lie to America.

Was this his normal behavior towards Americans or a one time event???

A conspiracy to take us to war and give freedom to Bin Laden or something more sinister???

He has to justify this whole thing. Lie on top of lie. He never mentioned that Bin Laden and Sadden were American creations. For Binnie, his education, for Saddie the weapons and money. All supplied by America and the other big powers. I suspect that this whole thing has nothing to do with freeing anyone and everything to do with wiping egg off his and his dad's face. And maybe a little to do with money. Watch Syriana. I think that there's a little truth in the story.

Here's your NUKE....
The New York times was bragging about a story that would bring Bush to his knees in November 2006 ... What that story did was confirm that in 2002 Saddam Hussein’s “scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away:”Iraq had nuclear weapons plans so advanced and detailed that any country could have used them..
Of course the NY Times failed to mention in 2000, Clinton gave them the design to the hardest part of making a nuke - the trigger.

I think what was said in the speech was (and I am paraphrasing a little), "British intelligence believes Saddam was trying to acquire yellow cake from Nigeria" No one said that he was successful.

Intelligence is a tricky area. Nothing is ever 100% certain. Did Bush lie? Maybe. But he definitely overstated the confidence of the report.

Just like the aluminum tubes that dubya claimed were for nuclear centrifuges (even though they were proven repeatedly to be useless for that task), which turned out to be for ballistic weapons (shoulder fired missiles or something), and the high-tolerances were to increase the accuracy of those weapons.

This administration used scare tactics repeatedly to make the case for war.

Liars. All of them.

No - because he did not say that.

He said Saddam was seeking it, something Joe Wilson himself confirmed in his initial oral report given when he got back from Niger.

No one said he actually obtained it.
