Hi Maddy, actually I think corperations and governments should be run more like familes. I recently read a news article where some members of congress stated the government should not be considered simular to a family and how families deal with finances. Where the heck this mentality came from I haven't a clue! These folks actually stated governments running a deficit is Ok, but a family should always be careful of their financial obligations and strive for not only a balance, but establish savings and investments in order to maintain independence and self sufficency. The government on the other hand has little resemblence to a home and family structure and therefore is not as responsible or even capable of doing the same. The logic behind this attitude fails me.

I strongly believe our government, as the Representitive of the People should always establish strong role modeling for those who they represent. If our government IS representitive of the People then it is only logical the government is held to a HIGHER standard in behavior then those they represent; rather than substandard modeling.

Our government is selling out our People by allowing foreigners to purchase large amounts of land and properties here in the US. We should establish a rule such as Japan in which foreigners can "lease" property and land but not own it. Japan is correct in assumming that the more land foreigners own the less Japan owns. When foreigners are allowed to actually own land and property then that land and property no longer legally belongs to the Japanese people. When this occurs, little by little Japan would cease to exist.

Those with the largest holdings have the largest amount of power. When individual familes sell tracts of land to another, that land no longer belongs to them and they have no say over how it is used or disposed of in the future. How our government can allow foreingers to purchase our land and properties and still claim it is part of the US is beyond me. Each foreign purchase takes that little bit more away from the American People and puts it at the disposal and use of a foreign mind set. Not that foreign mind sets are neccasarily wrong or bad, it is just different from our own and as such different from what we may wish to occur here.

While it is true that these lands and properties are under the domain of US law, how long will it be until the power these foreigners hold here increases to a point they begin to dictate our government policy? I believe it will not take all that long at all.

Now, if we were to have our government and corperations run like American Familes, we would have true Representitives of the American People. After all isn't it familes and individuals who make up this country? Without familes we would cease to exist. When our government declares itself independant of the American family unit and not responsible for properly reflecting those families we have a real problem. If they do not reflect us, the familes of America, then just who are they reflecting? In my humble opinion they are reflecting their own personal needs and agendas. When those Representitives stop representing the American People, our families, and begin representing themselves we are in deep doo-doo.

Coperations are made up of familes, people who belong to one or numerous families. The government is also made up of familes, numerous families and is suppose to represent ALL families. When corperations and the government forget who they are representing it all becomes very selfish and self serving.

Families are responsible for everything positive and negitive in any culture or country. Each government or coperate body should remember who is empowering them and act accordenly. Without the family there would not be any need for corperations or government as the world would be empty, bereft of people.

So, it stands to logic that coperations and government bodies need to be run according to family values and needs. Which dictates finacial responsibility and establishment of proper rules and etiquet. They should model proper actions and behaviors which families can benefit from and emmulate.

Coperations and governments need to remember who's money and assets they are working with. When they forget this fundemental fact they become currupt and no longer represent those they should. This creates great strife and problematic situations which will be the eventual downfall of that society.

So, no, families shoud NOT be ran like coperations, the opposite is true, IMHO. When we forget what is important and who is of most value we drop into a quadmire which sucks the life out of all involved.

Well, I don't know if this adequently answered your question, but it really reflects my core belief system in what coperations and government bodies should more closely resemble. Again, you ask great questions and I enjoy responding to them. I wish you a great day and upcoming week.

lol. No way. The corporate model promotes mediocrity. Homes should be run like co-ops.

No, no, no... not mine!

I don't want a "co-worker", I want my loving husband.

I dont' want an "employee" reporting to me. I want my children to be obedient to me.

I don't want to firing my "staffs". I want my children to learn displines.

I don't want to do many projects with many headaches. I want to cook a nice meal for my family with love.
