I'm a huge A's fan and I wish Barry Zito all the luck in the world. He did so much for the A's in the past few years and I appreciate it so much. It's all good he left. I mean, a lot of people would've left for the same reason. I'm not worried though. The A's are still a playoff contender even without Barry Zito being on our team. I'm just feeling bad for him since he's going to be on the worst team in the NL West.

Everyone loves Zito i have heart anybody saying we hate Barry Zito because his with the Giant. I haven't heart the A's saying Barry Zito make a mistake by signing with the Giants, So where are getting you information about fans not like it zito. Don't tell me they dont like zito because him and Barry Bonds ARE REALLY GOOD FRIENDS.
Go Giants.
The A's are cheap and they just dont sign their good players, but A's fans would never hate zito, because they understand the team didn't make and effort to resign him.

Because fans in general really put their heart and soul into the teams they root for. When they win the fans feel great and when they lose many fans feel worse about the outcome than some of the players. Oakland A's fans have seen Barry Zito grow into one of the best pitchers in baseball and feel with their support in some weird way has helped him achieve this status, to only now watch him go to a different team and betray them. It's actually a very simple answer, when you feel betrayed by someone you have put your heart and soul into what do you usually do? Despise that person

Well im an A's fan, and i don't hate Zito. I still dont forget all the great things he did while he was still with the A's. Now if there are people that hate Zito is because they are not really true fans of the A's.

Those two teams are so close in proximity that the fans really despise eachother. If you leave a team to go to a hated rival, expect to be loathed by the fan base of the team you departed. This happens all the time. A couple other hated rivals that have had the same thing in the past.....
Yankees - Red Sox
Dodgers - Giants
