It's the third eye, which is not developed to see into the natural world but it can see pretty well into the etherical field. The third eye, energy-wise, looks like a tetractys (cross) that Pythagoras had mentioned in his scripts and consitutes the physic ability of hypophysis. The energy that the third eye can radiate can be either good or bad, but unfortunately since common people don't know the use of it they only send low vibrated (evil) sequences that can possess adversely the aural and ectoplasmatic energy field of an individual. In religion this is also called vascany. In order to activate the third eye you may need to adress your energy beyond the thymus field (a spiritula tsakra-indouistic) towards the head. I guess that if you could see someone in the real world with 3 eyes he could be called triclops but you may only meet them in mythologies of the world and sci-fi movies
