Overstreet's Comics Guide is a good place to start. Don't bother with Wizard Magazine (is that still published?), they overvalue the comics & you'll never get those prices as a seller.

First of all they have to be #1's and in mint condition to be worth anything. I would go to a book store and purchase a updated collectors text and speak with actual collectors to see what issues are hot right now. The #1 issue of Marvels Flash Gordon is worth thousands for example.

Take them along to your local auction room for a valuation or try a comic/magazine fair

YOUR best bet is to go to a few auction sites, and see comparable prices.
