Hi

I have external speakers attached to my pc which I purchased seperatly. Stupidly when tidying up my pc i deleted the software for them (silly I know!) anyways I can no longer find the installation disk that came with my speakers. Is there any way I can make them work again? Is it possible to download software that will make them work. or is it a case of lost software useless speakers??

Also since doing this I tried to revert back and just use the standard audio that came with my pc, Which is speakers on the monitor - these now dont work either! what do i have to do/download to make my original pc speakers work as these will do!

they are plugged into the correct audio jack at the back, sound is not muted, control panel audio settings set to pc own monitor speakers but still no sounds!

Help im losing my mind with this!!

1. Try looking for the deleted files in your recycle bin, if you didn't find them proceed to #2, else restore the files... and test your speakers.

2. If you did not find them, then get the proper brand-name and model number of your speakers, go on the Internet and login to the manufacturer's website

3. If the software is not available for download, then proceed to #4 below, else... download the software and re-install... then test your speakers.

4. Ask for support. If you actually bought these speakers - you will get support. Tell them you lost your installation software, and that you need help.

5. If #4 does not work... go find your software from shareware.com or download.com

6. If all fails, sell your speakers on e-bay (as is)... or send 'em over to me.

Cheers!

the speakers don't need softwares, it's the SOUNDCARD inside your PC. You should be able to find out what type of card that is by looking in device manager, or looking at the card, and then searching google for the manufcturer and downloading the files

I don't think you need any special software for that. Go to control panel, sounds and check if they are muted. If you really had some software with them, try searching google with the brand name that you had, you should be able to download it free from their website.

You can download software from the manufactures web site. But they should work from your computers generic sound driver. Maybe the Manufacturer has diagnostics with their software.

go to the speaker manufacturer website. They almost all offer drivers and utilities for their products. You can get the most current up to date package for your speaker set there.

you in basic terms could reinstall your soundcard drivers. there is not any such element as speaker drivers. in case you have a Dell or different type call computer the utility it particularly is finding for is on the driving force CD it got here with.

download the driver for your speakers.

I would suggest looking on the manufacturers website, if they don't have the driver there, look at

www.download.com
