I mean come on this is not a good place to see what people think about candidates. Hillary will have a lot of support from moderates voters who arn't over critical of everything. George Bush's presidency will be fresh in voters minds (which is not a good thing) take last years election. People were very dissatified with republicans and thats not going to change with a snap of a finger. Republicans said John Kerry was a joke and wouldnt even get close to winning, but look how close the election was. I personally won't vote for Hillary in the primary because she is not my favorite candidate, but I will almost surely vote for her in the general if she were to be the candidate. I'm just tired of people acting like she has no chance. If she is up against Rudy or John Mccain it will be just as close as the last two presidential elections I guarantee it.

It's funny how some people have attacked me personally.

Hillary Clinton does have a chance...this is only the beginning of a very long, arduous, campaign...there are many mountains to climb, many roads to travel and many opinions to be challenged and changed to suit what Americans need right now.

You got everything wrong when it comes to Rudy or John McCain she doesn't;t have a worry in the world. Because when the Democrat gets through with Rudy and his baggage and dirty laundry and John McClain is 70 years old and will be 73 when the votes are counted, at this moment he is way down at the bottom of the list . Hillary will win the election and
along with the brilliant mind of Bill Clinton all the foreign countries will be coming back with us , they all love Bill Clinton. If the war is still going and we still have some troops living, the other countries when he ask them will be at our side fighting Iraq. Bill Clinton has the best foreign relations of any man. They voted 2 weeks ago that Bush was the most hated leader of all the other countries. You can say who needs the other countries, WE DO AND BAD.

I don't like Hillary, however I will vote for her in the general election as well if she wins the primary.

The only exception would be if a Republican were to step up, denounce the bush administration, and start offering some real solutions to how we could undo the damage that has been done to this country over the last six years.

Even then I would have serious trouble believing them - all politicians lie. The only honest politician is one who stays bought, once he/she is bought.

It's funny, despite seeing all these people say she has no chance, her numbers are still top dog. SOMEONE likes her. I know I do, I plan to work on her campaign. I think she has a great shot at the Presidency. Politics are a favorite subject among our friends and family. I'm finding that many of them who just said a year ago they didn't think she was the candidate for them are warming up to her little by little. I'm hearing more favorable remarks about her than negative ones these days. We've got a long way to go with these campaigns, but I think she's got what it takes to take the top spot and handle herself brilliantly as our President.

Hillary will have a difficult time because she is a woman.....bottom-line. Powerful men are respected, but powerful women are called bitches. Oh, and whoever said that McCain has no backbone is very ignorant or possibly MR. The guy was a POW for five years. Your comment went far and beyond moronic.

I'm not saying she has no chance. With that said you have to look at the evidence. O ther than being the wife of a former president and a senator from New York she really only has failures on her resume. A failed healthcare reform and a scandel that if she weren't smart would have been that of watergate. People just plain don't trust her. Not when she lies continous and gets caught in those lies. Instead of accepting responsibilty she trys passing the buck. Not to mention some people fear that because she's a woman and some people fear she'll lead us into another unnessary war.

Because it helps them sleep better at night....I'm not voting for her, either, but if she gets the nod and becomes the candidate, there is NOONE in the GOP that is going to be able to touch her. She has the most name recognition out of any one candidate, which is 90% of the game here in American Idol-land. Plus, she will motivate the women's vote from both sides of the aisle. Not to mention, she was a war chest of unbelievable depth.
Hillary will crush anyone the GOP pukes up, which is why they hate her so bloody much

I think they are afraid of Hillary. Her and Bill Clinton call them on their BS. You won't see any successful Swift Boat Attacks or embellished Internet invention stories with Hillary. I also won't vote for her in the primaries but I'd kind of like to see her put those neocons in their place.

I agree with you to a point, she has something of a chance. But I doubt she could win the presidency itself.

She has a lot of good ideas, I especially like healthcare. But she is too much for the war to maintain the Democrat base. Added to that, she is personally unlikeable. I used to think if she just smiled more many more people would like her; that is, until I saw her smile. She just does not look like a likeable person; she looks more like she is thinking, "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too." It is hard enough for men with looks problems to get people to vote for them; but for women where beauty is still a huge part of whether they are liked or not (I don't think it is right, but it is reality), Hilary just has too much going against her. Then she doesn't even have far-left support like from feminists, who are still angry over the fact she forgave her husband so readily for his cheating. But the hatred of the far and even moderate right aren't willing to recognize her decision as being for family, and still won't support her.

Also while she looks like she has a lot of support right now, it has much to do with the fact that mostly it is only Democrat support that is being measured. Once the whole country is measured regularly (the actual election, not just primaries), I believe her overall share of the support will drop extensively.

I agree with what you said about Republican foolishness not being forgotten readily. But truth be told, John McCain isn't all that associated with it and Rudy Guiliani even less so. McCain is known for having fought against it for a long time, and yet supporting it too. And it isn't coming off as waffling, but as a principled stance that he believes we never should have gone in, but now that we have we need to see it through. Guiliani is seen as the strong hand with compassion behind it that Bush tried to be but failed so miserably at. Guiliani showed strength and compassion during 9/11, and isn't seen as part of the Bush disaster since.

Hilary I think just has too much to overcome, much of it is just that she doesn't look like someone we want in charge. Not really fair, but reality is reality. Barack Obama has the better chance of defeating either of those other two. He is still seen as middle of the road, much of the same that Hilary has got; but he isn't seen as an intractable harpie like Hilary has been.

Moderate voters liking Hillary? Not going to happen. She is nothing more than a lightning rod and one of the most polarizing figures in American politics. She has about as much of a chance as VP Dick Cheney would if he decided to run, none.
