I'm not sure whether any sharks have as much intelligence as dolphins, but it is a fallacy that sharks are dim and can't be trained, they can't really be compared with the majority of fish (ray-finned fish) and tend to have a far greater ratio of brain to body size than the latter. Certainly some sharks (nurse sharks I think) have been trained to operate levers in tanks to reward them with food. The sharks that hunt fish and larger invertebrates tend to be more clever than the ones that are sluggish and lurk on the bottom eating slow moving things. Don't listen to people that say they are cold blooded, short-lived, they are just fish etc. They know little about the subject and don't understand the diversity in the animal kingdom.
So I would say yes, they can be trained in the same way.

No, but you can train an octupus. There are too problems with sharks. One is they have small brains and the other is they don't live long enough in captivity to be trained. Sure birds which have small brains can be trained, but they live for several years in captivity.

It depends on the type of shark. I suppose you could, but you would have to pick a shark that is smarter than another species.

No, but you can train crocodiles, crocodiles are more intelligent then sharks.

They can learn, remember, figure out things and even respond to their names.

In this videos you could see crocodiles learning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTiYqkV36dI

Crocodiles are the smartest reptiles, so you can't train sharks, but you can train crocodiles.

I think not their brains are small to be of any intelegence. They're for the wild to hunt and kill.
