Just jump on the train. Takes you to Liverpool Street Station. Think it is about an hours journey as I remember and costs about £6.50. Taxi your looking about £50.00 Plus airport surcharge £10.00. Can take up to 3 hours, so budget up to £150 for taxi. Know this Area.

The Stansted Express train is a dedicated airport train service running into London's Liverpool Street Station. The Stansted Express train station is beneath the Terminal at Stansted Airport, simply descend the escalators on coming out of arrivals.

Stansted Express trains scheduled journey time is 45 minutes. On most journeys the train will make two stops, one at Tottenham Hale. This is an interchange with the London Underground which can save you time.

Taxi will certainly be quite expensive direct from Stanstead
I used the Stanstead express last time and it cost a/a £25 return (day trip) and it takes approximately 45 - 60 mins from the airport to Liverpool Street

I don't know about taxi prices but you should be able to get cheap fares if you preagranged with your local taxi services, they should offer you a competitive price

Off peak single adult prices. National Express Coach £10, 1hr 40 mins to Central London. One Railway £15.50, 45mins to London Liverpool Street. Taxis - horrendous, don't bother.

The best way is by coach (8 pounds one way, £14 return valid for one month). It is going from Stanstead to London Victoria for approximately 1h45 min.
