You need to find the circumference of the tire first. That is found by multiplying the diameter times pi.

56 * 3.14 = 175.84 cm

So after 200 revolutions it will have traveled...

200 * 175.84 = 35168 cm

In 924m, or 92400 cm, it will have made...

92400 / 175.84 = 525.47 revolutions

One question for the subject line and one for the body? That's weird. I also have no idea what a "bycyble" is, but I'll assume you mean bicycle.

In one revolution of the wheel, that wheel is going to travel its circumference. C = π D, so in one revolution the bicycle goes 56π centimeters. After 200 wheel revolutions, it will have gone 11200π cm, which is about 351.85m.

For 925 m, just work backwards. If the number of revolutions is R, then R(0.56π) = 924. Solve for R. Notice that I converted the 56 centimeters to meters first.

Hi
56 cms / 2=28 cms
28 X3.14116=87.95
87.95X200=1.759kms
so for 924mts
924/0.8795=1050.60

Circumference of the wheel: C = pi x diameter C = pi x 70 C = 219.ninety one cm = one rotation Distance traveled: D = nb of rotations x circumference of wheel D = 2000 x 219.ninety one D = 439,820 answer: 429,820 cm

The circumference = the diameter * pi

56 * pi * 200 = 35185.83772 cm or 351.8583772 meters

924 = 56 * pi * x
x = 92400 / (56 * pi) = 525.2113122 revolutions

riddler_vb, you made some rounding errors. Pi is not equal to 3.14, so when you multiply it by large numbers, your rounding is multiplied. It's best to use the actual number as best as you can. :-)

a. 56cm x 200 = 11200 cm or 112 m
b. 924 m / .56m = 1650 revolutions

Circumference = pi * D

A. 200* pi * 0.56m = 351.2 metres
B. 924/(pi*0.56) = 525.2 revolutions

diameter: 56cm = 0.56m
circumference (D*pi)= 0.56pi
924/0.56pi = 525.21 revolutions
