I have a 1.8 petrol freelander, problem is it runs for about half hour before cutting out. I normally let it wait for 5 minuates before starting it up again, it starts up and then again after 10 mins it starts to cut out again. whilst this is happening i can hear the petrol pump whining away.
What could be the problem?

It sounds like it is the pressure regulator in the fuel line that's the problem not allowing the pressure to build up

sounds like ur fuel pump relay at fault or ur internal fuel pump in the tank at fault.

You could have a pick up pipe in your fuel tank leaking air .
