I made banana chocolate chip muffins, and my 3 lb lop-eared bunny got ahold of it. I heard that chocolate can kill dogs, and now I'm worried about Mr. Muncha! Bunnies also cannot throw up, so I'm wondering if I should take him to the vet. He's not acting strangely, but I'm scared he will just flop over and expire! Anyone know whether chocolate will actually kill him

chocolate is only toxic to animals if you give them a ton. i fed my rabbit chocolate kisses and she never died from it. i fed my rat the tips of chocolate kisses and she never died from it. my cat loves chocolate ice cream. of course, they were all female, and what female doesnt love chocolate?

Chocolate is toxic to animals..
Dark chocolate is the worse of it.
Call your vet and ask him what to feed the bunny that will off set the chocolate.

And HOW did Mr. Muncha get the muffin? Bunnies are NOT doggies. Don't worry, or call your vet. You might just have to wait until the muffin comes out the other end.

Thats a good question .. Your bunny may be ok or u may have to wait to make sure it comes out the other end or not.
So you definately need to ask your Vet. He will guide you as what to do or not to do or even if you need to bring them into the office..,

friends of ours actually fed their bunnies chocolate chip cookies.. they loved them.. :)
i dont' think they got them very often.. but they did have the occasionally.. as well as chips and crackers
their bunnies ended up fine :)

my hamster ate a little small small amount of chocolate its was milk chocolate he was fine but call the vet instead

I think they might like bannana's. my rabbits go ape for bannanas you can't even eat one in front of them without them shaking their cages! Chocolate isn't good for any animal but that doesn't mean they don't like it. it depends how much he ate.

call your vet please. rabbits are so sensitve to their what they eat. good luck and wish your bun luck too.
