ouch, that really does not sound like fun for anyone.
I wish I could tell you the answer but I would just have to guess and that will nor help you or your son, and I am not going to sit here and pretend to know it all and tell you what I think is wrong with your son's ear, but I will suggest that you stop putting anything in his ear for now and take him to a Dr. as soon as you can and if right now you are unable to you could try and call a Dr. and ask for some advice, but it will be best to take him in before it gets any worse.
GOOD LUCK.

Well, it's probably not a busted ear drum. It sounds like an infection to me. Take him to the doctor right away, it can get worse.

If the stuff coming out of his ear is a different color than what you put in it, you probably want to take him in, especially if he is in a lot of pain. My son went from having no infection, to having an infection and being very close to his eardrum bursting over the course of 36 hours. He had a check up one morning, and by the next evening, he was feeling pretty bad, so I took him in and that was what they told me. If you aren't sure, call your doctor's office and see what they have to say. Good luck!

Nope, he's got an ear infection.
You should try giving him prescripted eardrops, and make sure all the pus comes out.
It'll eventually go away.

I had an ear infection as well and did the same thing, and now it's gone.

I would take him to the doctor or if you can not get to the doctor the hospital as soon as possible. It may not be something serious but it could be better not to chance it.

Your first impulse should have been to rush him to the nearest doctor's office, not post a 3 day question here!
