The software used to play it will use system resources & slow performance of other apps running at thes ame time.

It depends on a few factors. How much ram do you have? what is your processor speed? how much storage space is your music collection taking up? If you have 256mb of ram, then yes. If your processor speed is like 1ghz, then yes. And if your music collection is 32gb and you have a 40gb hard drive, then yes. It is slowing up your laptop. Otherwise if you have a newer laptop that's at least twice that fast with 1gb of ram and a 120gb hard drive and your music comprising less than 30gb, it's fair to say that the music is not the problem.

The music itself will not slow it down. Depending on what application you are using to run it and the amount of Ram and Processor speed in your laptop will depend on how much if any it will slow it down. Different music programs use different amounts of system resources. After it is done loading and playing it will go normal speed.

Music would do slow up your laptop if you are using so many applications in the same time ... and also depend on your PC if it old or new :)

nope i listen to either radio online or my own music and its no slower
