This isn't much information to help you figure out what might be wrong with your fish, but that you said it seems off balance says that it might be swim bladder disease or constipation. This can be caused by a bacterial infection, a viral infection, overfeeding or it could be congenital. Don't feed your fish for 3 days. It won't hurt it to go without eating. Then feed it thawed frozen peas with the skins removed for 2-3 days. If this doesn't help, try raising the temperature and add epsom salts at 1/8 tsp per 5 gallons of water. If this doesn't help, try treating with Maracyn or Maracyn-2 and with medicated food. If this isn't advanced or if it isn't congenital, it is easily treatable. If it is from a bacterial or viral infection, it is a result of poor water quality. Do a 50% water change and test your water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Good luck!

if your fish sits at the bottom of the tank, hardly ever moves, and when it moves, it bangs with the glass
I'm sorry to say,its dead. you can always make sure about that, try putting in some food. If the fish comes up to eat it, you should ask help from the local vet.
I think theres a problem, with its swimming bladder.
This bladder sucks in air and gives out air to keep the fish in motion.
If it doesn't give any response to the food. I'm sorry to say, its dead. You should bury it

Sounds like it could be swim bladder disease. Call your local live fish store (i'd avoid large commerial chains and try someone who specializes in fish and ONLY fish)

What kind of fish do you have and what are you keeping him in? please disregard all the other answers that told you he is doomed. He may die, but there are MANY different treatments out there for fish. DO NOT take him to the store, the stress from that could kill him.

Do check your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. If you don't know what I'm talking about , google nitrogen cycle.

check the PH and nitrates immediently! if the fish is off balence it usually means the water is not right for it. make sure the PH is at about 7.4-7.9 unless its salt water then it should be from 7.5-8.2 the nitrates and nitrites need to be lowered. fastes way to do that is to make a water change. about 15-20% should help out alot.

if it is a freshwater fish it probably has a disease called ick. You can treat it buy purchasing a medicine for ick in the pet store, or you can simply put a few pieces of kosher salt in the water. I have done this before and it worked.

Sorry to say but it sounds like your fish is dying. If you have other fish you are worried about I would take your water to the local pet store to test. Have you noticed any white spots on your fish?? If so it could be ich. If it is Ich you can buy Ich treatment....GOOD LUCK!!
