I thought this show was a bit irrisposible myself. Ok,it highlighted the way that this crazy crash dieting can make someone feel and I sort of applaud Louise for taking on the challenge first hand (even though I don't think it was strictly neccessary for the show to make the points it did. The interviews were enough really). But, when you consider that Louise only lost a total of one inch from her hips and managed to end up at a size 0 was she the best person to do this anyway? Her BMI was good enough to start with but she was obviously a very slim girl to begin with. What really was the point of her putting herself through this to lose a couple of inches here and there? Silly if you ask me.

I agree, Marilyn Manroe was Curvy not Louise Rednapp who was skinny to begin with, I was shocked when I saw she was only a size 8 to begin with, of course this was cos they knew she'd be able to get to a size zero within a month, she must have very small hips to get in a size 8 piece of clothing, I'm quite slender myself, but even I can't get in size 8 clothes as my womanly hips can't fit in them, she's giving the impression to the vunerable that if you are above this size you must be quite big, not, how irresponsible, now some people will try and copy her and if they don't reach a size zero within the month they will panice, thnking there is something wrong with them and this can lead to dire long term consequences, Denise Van Outen would have been a much better role model/candidate with her "real" womanly/curvy figure, Louise has always been ultra thin not a very positive role model, especially to those that are already slim above a size 8, talk about hypocrisy, and she shouldn't have smirked when the doctor was talking to her either, its a serious matter!

I think the Size zero thing that keeps gettin repeated on BBC3 is alot better, because its about a women whos more curvy to begin with, whos at a size zero, and it just showed alot more issues and factors than louises did, as you said shes a petite girl in the first place so it didnt make that much of a difference, and the documentary on last night could be seen as a double ended barral, as some girls will probably use some of the tactics she did to lose weight, it was a risky show, but im glad she did it, highlighted a few things that not everybody knows..

I agree with you, i love Louise and respect her tremendously as a human being , how ever as much as she had shown the points of the probs size 0 will, can and is and that she looked ill at the end of the prog, i feel it showed how easy it is to get into and stay into, I'm over weight not humongous could poss do with losing about 3-4 stone( don't want to be a size 0)(plus I haven't the will power lol) i feel that if they had done it with some one my size or much more weight to lose I think that the out come would have been different.

i watched 'super slim me' the day before. It was the same sort a thing, a woman carried out an experiment and tried to get to size 0. She did it for a lot longer and was a size 12 to begin with and although she didn't quite make it, you could still see what people must go through to get to that size.

No, the point was they didn't want people to think she looked better afterwards. As she was already very slim, like a lot of girls/women who aspire to be a size 0, it showed how very unnatractive and dangerous it is to keep slimming down to the point where you are almost skeletal. She also only had 30 days and if she had started as a size 12, I don't think she could have managed it.

HTH.

I agree with you, but she did look a lot different in the before and after photos. She was very slim to start with, and gaunt at the end.
However, I do wish I were a bit slimmer ( I am a UK size 14) but I love my food too much! Oh the pre-pregnancy days when a size 12 was an easy fit!

My daughter who is 17 and I watched this and made the comments that she did not have that much to loose to get to size zero and that she appeared to be someone who did watch her weight in the first place.
i thought they were responsible in one way not to show you what she actually ate every day not once did they show a full days set meal plan more likey because it consisted of size zero itself and people woul have copied it.
i thought the fitness guru was totally irrisponsible and seemed to applaude the size zero more because he make a lot of dollers by the sound of it getting people there.
Redmen we noticed was filling in a daly diary of everything so expect a book to line her pockets following.
We prefered the BBC 3 one more realistic with a women who had curves and totally struggled for size zero and did not do it due to long term effects of her health which would have been irriversable. redman carried on regardless which was foolish and as you say irrisponsible.
Made me and daughter reach for buscuit tin after lol

I think people wanting to be a size zero are stupid,it does'nt look good, louise was size 8 to begin with and she looked really skinny then,i kept thinking she's moaning about being hungry and hardley eating, but it looks like she hardley eats anyway or she would'nt be so skinny to start off with.Your right they should have choosen a curvier women to do it.

She didn`t do it to lose weight she did it as an experiment to highlight the idiocy in aiming for that size.
Louise is a UK 8 normally and starved herself to UK4/US0 - if you did watch it you saw how detrimental it was to her health.
She could barely concentrate ,barely stand at one point and the effect on her skin and hair was appalling.Had she continued she risked serious damage to her health including Kidney failure....
IF this program stops ONE silly girl starving herself to fit an "ideal" then Lou did a great job.

i think it was trying 2 high-light a growing problem.
doctors r noticing the rise in obesity & anorexia, in equal measure.
it's like every1 is afraid 2 b their ideal weight.
the size 0 ( UK 4 ) is as unhealthy 4 a woman, as a uk 16+.
hopefully a few more documentaries on the subject & people will return 2 common-sense.
b in a safe distance of ur ideal weight, 4 ur age, gender & frame. how can u go wrong?
