Oh No..don't ever put the father back in the nest with the mother because the mother is very protective of her babies, especially because the father can be aggressive towards the babies since they are helpless. The reason why the mother does that to their babies is because she is trying to protect her babies, even though it may be strange but that's how they are so..and also if you touch the babies and left your "human" scent on it, the mother will eat their babies as well because it cannot recognize their babies since it has a "human" scent or doesn't have the same scent like it did before. So when you want to breed it again, you cannot bring the father back in the cage or the area with the babies or touch the babies until they are weaned and/or is no longer with their mother. Hope this helps!

Rabbits are very sensitive, don't go near them or their offspring for 6 weeks except to feed and water. If the rabbit has any stress it will kill the little ones, don't know why exactly but, have seen it happen when the mother was bothered a lot by inquisitive looks from interested parties that just had to see what was happening today compared to yesterday.

Give the mother lots of privacy and room for a little while and she should be ok the next time.

She might want to no longer have had the elements to look after them (milk, area, etc.). many times if a mom feels that offspring will be too a lot of a burden to the point the position being concerned for them will chance her own survival, or if she feels the offspring at the on the spot are not accessible for some reason, she will be able to... remove them. It occurs fairly many times in rodent relations highly at the same time as the animals are caged and sufficient area isn't offered. the actual shown actuality that all her previous offspring died might want to factor out some variety of abnormality that would want to ward off her from generating accessible offspring.

alot of first time rabbit mothers will kill their young for several reasons. Illness, lack of something missing in their diet or just not knowing what to do. If you breed her again and she kills the second litter I would recomend NOT breeding her again. A doe that kills her first two litters tends to kill every litter she has.

I have heard that rabbits will sometimes do this with their fist litter. The next time around should go better.

I would think she maybe did it because she didn't feel safe and secure with the baby, and where they are located. Could be that she just isn't a good mom.. I wouldn't breed her again.

if she is a first time mom, she just may not know what to do with the babies, she can be rebred right away but since she killed her babies......i wouldwait another month....if she kills them a seconds time don't bred her again. i had a doe who killed her first litter and the second time she was fine.
