All you have to do is add the items together and multiply by the tax percentage as a decimal.

(25.75 + 15.49 + 9.95) = 51.19

51.19 * .0825 = 4.22

Add the two together and you get the total!

51.19 + 4.22 = 55.41

Add 'em up and then multiply by 1.0825

25.75 + 15.49 + 9.95 = 51.19 * 1.0825 = $55.41

add the three amounts together
then multiply by 1.0825
( she has to pay for the items [1] and pay tax [0.0825] )
