Worldwide? We need to increase education of women in countries where they are traditionally forbidden to go to school. All studies show that as women become more educated, birth rates go down, infant mortality decreases, the economy gets better, and there are fewer people starving and dying of treatable diseases. If we provide women with an education and job training, sex education and accessibility to birth control, we will make the whole world better. Check out Women for Women. It's a fantastic organization.

I think the 1st thing I would do (and this is no way an attack on your question, I think it’s a good thing to ask) would be get people to stop making a big deal about women. I know it's hard to understand- but every time me make a big deal about how girls are treated in this world we make this issue even bigger. the problems are pretty much gone- and I live in a hick town pop. 320- you would think a place like that would be the worst- but it's not.

It's like a plain crash on the news- they happen so seldom that the news shows them when they do- but there are so many plains that it looks like plain's crash all the time.

there is nothing wrong with talking about what has happened to women, just I wish people would stop treating it like we are at war with men.

I will raise my son to be responsible around the house, and this will teach him how to manage a household and help him become an equal partner to a woman later in life.

I will raise my daughter to expect to work and support herself, so that she is able to do so and not think anything of it. Even if she chooses to be a homemaker, if her husband gets hit by a bus one morning I will have given her the tools to make it on her own.

In this way I will teach both my children to be independent, to be equal partners, and to expect the same from their partners in life. My husband and I are setting the example for them too :-)

I'm not sure. Personally, I don't think that any gender should be more powerful than another, but that's just me. I would change the way people think of women in other countries. I'm not saying that ALL other countries treat women badly, that would be far from true. I know that some, for a fact, do treat women unfairly. I would fix that.

Make them equal to men at least, sheesh come on already people. ;)

What we all need to do is educate the wolrd, clear up ignorance and superstitions, (and perhaps not be slaves to fashions that are limiting and depraving?)

But mostly, women need to empower themselves, if they don't do anything about it, no one else will. Do they need motivation?

First of all -

Abolish all forms of inequalities.

Secondly -

Kill all the rapist and people who believe in sexism

Thirdly -

Get rid of all of the feminist (there ideas and solutions are more extreme than mine)

Fourthly -

Make it a felony in all nations for wife beaters - this goes for wives too...

Fifthly -

Eliminate all sexual over tone advertisements on all stages of the world (this goes for pornography too).

Lastly -

Love em' all

Well i would give food and money to those heroic grandmothers who help children without parents because they have died because of no food or aids or prostitution to get food because those grandmothers sacrifice themselves to aid and clean and cook for the children but who will help the children when those great grandmothers die?
I saw this on 60 minutes like 2 months ago. I made me cry!

I would let them get paid for being stay at home mothers if they choose to. It pisses me off that women really don't have a choice when it comes to going back to work. They basically have to because they cannot afford not to. I think it should be a choice to stay home with your children. Granted, most women do welcome going back to work for the fact of being able to associate with adults, but for those of us who want to breastfeed and stay home and not worry about pumping or daycare expenses. It just takes the heart out of it. Plus I think it sucks that when you do go to work, over half or almost all of it goes to frickin daycare. It doesn't make sense. Sorry I had to vent...Good question!!! P.S. Still pissed off!!!
