I love James Patterson. the Alex cross books are my favorite i think its interesting the way he crosses the loving family man of Alex Cross with these totally crazy psychopaths, its an interesting dicotomy. His other books are well written too, they usually have a really interesting twist at the end that i didnt see coming.

I loved The Lake House/ When The Wind Blows/Maximum Ride. The Jester was also a very good read. James Patterson has an excellent imagination. Sorry, I never read the other guy. Try Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin.

James Patterson is very good just reading the 5th horseman the one before that was Step on a crack.Got loads of his books and enjoyed them all. Never read Mathew Reilly.

Interesting pair of authors you have chosen. They both hold the reader in suspense, yet in entirely different approaches . while Patterson leans a bit more to the intellect,Reilly reaches more toward the imaginative and adventure. I have enjoyed reading both , and have had on many occasion found myself wishing I could put one of their books down as the clock continued to advance into the early hours.

I used to until all his books began to grow to be predictable and boring. someplace around the place he suspended the Alex go books. He wrote some non-thrillers, then the ladies's homicide club. He began staggering out with the persons from the RWA (Romance Writers association) and that they began rubbing off on him. He spent greater time on conversing engagements and conferences and much less time on crafting good plots. He at last delivered back Alex go, yet i purely won't be able to undergo analyzing his books anymore. Now there is not any "thrill" to his thrillers.
