I am 21 weeks pregnant now and I started to notice my neck is a little darker than usual. I tried to rub it of in the shower but it didn't work. I used body wash, face wash, soap, etc. Nothing works!! Is this a pregnancy symptom or just me? And will it go away? Is there anything I can do?? Please let me know. Thanks A Lot!!

It's a pregnancy symptom. Some woman have a problem with parts of their body becoming darker, splotchy, blotchy, etc. during pregnancy. Mostly happens to the face, neck, and breasts. I can't remember what exactly it's called and there's isn't a whole lot you can do about it. It's from all the extra hormones. More than likely after you have the baby, your skin tone will balance out again. Good Luck!

It's probably an increase in melanin. You may have also noticed a linea negra - a darkened line between your pubic bone and belly button. It's normal during pregnancy - but you should be careful when you're in the sun. Make sure you wear sunscreen to avoid exacerbating the problem.

The increased amount of melanin could be causing your skin colour changes, particularly if you are mid- to dark-toned to begin with. The melanin settles down, often in patches but sometimes in whole areas.
It should go away after pregnancy.

I heard that some women get skin changes on their face, called the "mask of pregnancy". Maybe that's what you're experiencing? Ask your doctor just to be sure.

I had that hapened to me, don;t worry it should go away, mine did just after I gave birth, I can;t remember why that happens but it does to some people.
