Any law students thinking to take you up on your offer should check the state's Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) statutes first.

Laws vary by state, but many states forbid non-lawyers from even doing legal research for others. And violating UPL statutes is a great way to ensure they never are allowed to become lawyers.

As far as access to a law library, check your local county courthouse. Most provide free access to their law library. You can also try legal research sites (such as findlaw.com and loislaw.com) many of which provide some form of free access.

Try the internet. Many law libraries have free online access to state statutes and significant case law may be in the annotations. Also, there are may cases available on the internet free.
